Please read these Terms carefully before using TheRankDex. By using the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TheRankDex ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Site.
2. Description of Service
TheRankDex is a community-driven platform that allows users to vote on debates, polls, and topics across a variety of categories. Users may optionally create accounts to track points, appear on leaderboards, and submit suggestions.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 in jurisdictions where applicable) to use the Site. By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should review these terms with a parent or guardian.
4. User Accounts
You may use the Site without creating an account, with limited functionality.
If you sign in using a third-party provider (e.g., Google), you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
You agree not to impersonate other users or create accounts for abusive purposes.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Use the Site to harass, abuse, or harm other users.
Submit spam, fraudulent, or misleading content.
Attempt to manipulate votes, rankings, or leaderboards through automated means.
Reverse engineer, scrape, or otherwise exploit the Site's systems.
Violate any applicable local, national, or international law.
6. User-Generated Content
When you submit debate suggestions or other content, you grant TheRankDex a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and moderate that content on the platform.
You retain ownership of your submissions. You are solely responsible for the content you submit and represent that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.
7. Points and Leaderboards
Points are awarded for platform participation (voting, winning debates, submitting approved suggestions).
Points have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash or prizes.
We reserve the right to adjust, reset, or remove points at our discretion.
Leaderboard rankings are for entertainment purposes only and confer no legal rights.
8. Advertising
The Site may display third-party advertisements via Google AdSense or similar services. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads. Interacting with advertisements is subject to the advertiser's own terms and privacy policies.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site not submitted by users — including but not limited to logos, design, code, and text — is the property of TheRankDex and may not be reproduced without express written permission.
10. Disclaimers
The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TheRankDex shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold TheRankDex, its owners, and affiliates harmless from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Site or violation of these Terms.
13. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, for any reason, with or without notice — including for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Site ceases immediately.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
